This system shows the temperature and humidity at two locations and
automatically sets and updates the time with split-second accuracy. The system
has two wireless units: a monitor that displays the time, day, and date, as well
as the temperature and humidity in its location; and a remote indoor/outdoor
sensor that displays the temperature and the humidity where it's
located--garden, greenhouse, wine cellar, or baby's room. You can place it up to
90 feet away, and it will radio the temperature and humidity to the monitor for
display. (The monitor can handle data from two additional remote sensors, which
must be ordered separately.) For keeping track of time, the monitor is equipped
with a radio receiver tuned to the U.S. Atomic Clock, enabling the monitor to
automatically adjust, if necessary, to the Atomic Clock's signals six times
every 24 hours. The monitor displays the time zone for which the user has set
the clock. (Adjustment for daylight-saving time and leap year is automatic.) The
clock can also function as a crescendo alarm for wakeup or reminder.
The monitor displays the minimum and maximum
temperature and humidity readings at its location, as well as that of the remote
sensor, during a selected period, and shows trends (rising, falling, or steady)
of this data. Users can set alarms for both units to sound when the temperature
or humidity rises or falls above or below limits set by the user. You can set up
both the 5-1/2-by-3-1/4-inch monitor and the 4-1/8-by-2-3/4-inch sensor on flat
surfaces or on wall mounts, and you can set them to show temperature in Celsius
or Fahrenheit. Each unit operates on two AA batteries. (All batteries included.)
